Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has revealed that the controversial Riot Shield will not be in the game at launch. While there's no guarantee that the Riot Shield won't be added to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 further down the line, launch players can be safe in the knowledge that it won't be there to frustrate them on day one.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to be Treyarch's latest effort in the long-running franchise, with its previous being 2020's Black Ops Cold War. When looking at the best Call of Duty games, many believe that Treyarch is the most consistent developer working on the franchise, having often produced great games throughout its nearly two-decade tenure.

The advertising team for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is having lots of fun getting The Replacer to show up in unexpected locations.

Recently, Treyarch revealed the full list of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 weapons, and gamers have noticed one massive omission: the Riot Shield. First introduced in 2009's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, it has since reappeared in several Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games titles since. However, it only showed up in one Treyarch Call of Duty - Black Ops 2 back in 2012. This would suggest its absence from the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 weapons list isn't a total surprise, but it will be a welcome change given its prevalence in the last few Modern Warfare games.

Throughout the history of the Call of Duty series, the Riot Shield has caused plenty of frustration for players. Gamers are always looking for new ways to counter the Riot Shield in Call of Duty games, as there's nothing more annoying than a player walking forward, blocking all the bullets in their path, and getting a free melee kill. Some players even lie prone with the riot shield on their back, making it almost impossible to kill them with anything other than a well-placed grenade. There's no doubt that the removal of the Riot Shield will come as great news to many players, even if some will lament being unable to frustrate others with it anymore.

As the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 release date rapidly approaches, Activision and Treyarch are really ramping up the information drops about the upcoming game. Everything seen from the game so far has looked great, and the reception from the recent open beta was largely positive, too. It seems like it will be a real crowd-pleaser, underlined by the recent news that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is bringing back the original version of Nuketown. Those who played the 2010 original know why it became so popular in the first place, and will be delighted to see it make a return.

Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity. In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.

They should make riot Shield realistic and add ballistic Shields

A riot shield is a lightweight protection device, typically deployed by police and some military organizations, though also utilized by protestors. Riot shields are typically long enough to cover an average-sized person from the top of the head to the knees, though smaller one-handed models may also be used. They are generally intended to be used in riot control, to protect the user from melee attacks with blunt or edged weapons and also thrown projectiles, or non-lethal weapons such as rubber bullets and water cannons. They can also be used as short-ranged melee weapons to push back the opposing force. Most riot shields do not offer ballistic protection

A ballistic shield, also called a tactical shield or bulletproof shield, is a protection device deployed by police, paramilitaries, and armed forces that are designed to stop or deflect bullets and other projectiles fired at their carrier. Ballistic shields also protect from less serious threats such as thrown items. Riot Shield should break when fire upon by a gun leaving the person with a broken Shield.

Absolutely. It is a cowardly weapon

I’ve always hated the riot shield and have been waiting to see it go!!
